    The coconut vendor who is usually on the sidewalk shifted his operation to the back of a Uhaul truck because the day before another street vendor, selling candles or something, was discovered by the police to be drinking on the job. 

    So now, despite him being fully licensed to sell coconuts on Nostrand Avenue he has to hide his business like a criminal. 

    “I’m a grown man and they’re treating us like children” he said of the NYPD. “I don’t drink here. This is my job.”

    Then, using a machete, he expertly chopped the top off a big coconut—”straight from Yard”—and gave us a pink straw.
